Post-doc researcher on the topic of 'Governance of sustainable innovations'
Time period: two years, with an initial 1 year contract, starting in fall 2008
Conditions: Full time position, in Göteborg, Sweden.
IMIT, the Institute for Management of Innovation and Technology, is looking for a post-doc researcher in Göteborg. The position as researcher entails to – together with the senior researchers – work on all parts of the research project ‘Governance of sustainable innovations’, including the detailed research design, case studies, analysis, reports and publications,. The empirical focus is the comparison of governance of environmentally sustainable technologies such as transport, energy systems, biodegradable materials, etc. The researcher will work with a group of researchers and an advisory board involved in the project. The tasks associated with the position are primarily research activities, but also include extensive interaction with, for example, policy makers and industrial partners, as well as administrative tasks.
IMIT is looking for a researcher with a PhD or equivalent in innovation studies, innovation policy, management or economics of innovation, political sciences or other relevant discipline, with a demonstrated ability to develop, lead, conduct and publish research of high international quality.

Junior and senior researcher 'Sustainable innovation, investment and entrepreneurship'
ICIS (Centre for Integrated assessment and Sustainable development) at Maastricht University is looking for a senior and a junior researcher for its new research programme 'Sustainable innovation, investment and entrepreneurship'.
* The senior researcher will lead the new programme, structure its research, and engage in project acquisition, in close cooperation with the European Centre for Corporate Engagement (ECCE).
* The junior researcher will work on research projects within the new programme. Optionally, the results may be elaborated into a PhD thesis.
For both positions, candidates should have a background in at least one of the following areas:
* sustainable development or sustainability science
* economics, business administration or finance
* trans-disciplinary approaches to sustainable innovation, investment and entrepreneurship
A good command of English in both oral and written communication is essential. Candidates for the senior position should have a PhD degree in an economic/business or sustainability science discipline. Highly qualified candidates without a PhD degree may be considered if they fit the profile very well.
Research at ICIS is funded by external grants on a project basis. For the new programme, the aim is to develop a research portfolio that is composed of both long-term academically oriented projects and short-term policy-oriented projects. As a result, candidates for the senior position must have a proven ability to develop research proposals, and secure funding from national and international sources.
ICIS sets high standards for the academic quality of its research output. It encourages the publication of research results at the highest international level. Therefore, candidates for the senior position must have a track record of publishing in international peer-reviewed journals; candidates for the junior position must have the desire to develop a track record of their own.
Both positions are for a period of three years. Salary is according to the university's remuneration scheme:
* junior position: initial salary scale 10.0
* senior position: maximum salary scale 13
